What's Going On?
Why won't blogger let me leave comments on any blogs anymore? Do I really have to update to beta in order to leave comments now? What if I don't want to? Help.

Switching to beta doesn't change anything. Why don't you want to do it? I've heard this on so many blogs, but I have had no problem as a beta user. Any changes on my blog after switching to beta were my own doing...AND if you want to change the look of your blog, it's a lot easier in beta.

Perhaps Blogger wants all of us to use Beta? I know of two sites that have literally disappeared since the bloggers switched to Beta.
As for the posting, try signing in as an “Other” and pasting your blog’s URL in the second box below your name. It (sometimes) works for me.

was having lots of problems too. but changing to beta blogger* did enable me to leave comments (tho it does seem like an eternity to log on as a blogger this way -- it might just be me). and especially for those newly elitist bloggers who no longer accept "other" or "anonymous" comments -- it was the only way to leave smart-aleck, clever repartee. :-)
*have to take my "advice" w/a grain of salt since i'm obviously not a real blogger.

si, I'm snorting and giggling over the 'newly elitist' bloggers who no longer accept anonymous or other comments. And, I'm just sayin', should you come to my blog and notice that I've blocked anonymous/other commenters? It's not because I'm a snob. It's because I've gotten tired of getting hate mail from my anonymous troll. What I wouldn't give for a reason to consider myself elitist. :-)

I refuse to switch BUT i did open a google account under sufference...it appears to have fixed my problems :o)
