It takes a spot of courage to stand up tall and a bit of derring-do to rise when you fall

Santa Cruz circa 2006

It's hard to tell from this photo, but this lovely costume is being worn by a man. He's apparently the draw for the other man who is playing a violin. It's good to have something to catch the attention of passersby in case the music doesn't do it.

I love this town because anything goes and you never know what you'll see.

And then, of course, there's the ceaseless beauty of an ever-moving ocean.

OH the ocean....*sigh*. I live on Puget Sound, which is ocean, but not open ocean like your photos. Still gorgeous and mesmerizing, but I'm always overwhelmed by the beauty and power of the open ocean.

it never ceases to fascinate....I'm always amazed to hear there are people who've never seen the ocean. SAD! I love knowing it's not so far away. I would love to wake up and see it outside my window....that would be great.

Great pics!

So the dude is a guy?

At the moment I’m torn where I want to be: the desert or the sea coast.

haha, h-girl :) He WAS cute, as a matter of fact---in the romantic, starving artist sort of way. YOU could have a field day with a description of this boy and his violin.
Good eyes, by the way :)
