The Out Patient

Here's bandage-head boy :) As you can see, he's not feeling 100%---though he's doing pretty well, considering. No purple bandage this time. I guess by the fourth surgery they figure you're not royalty anymore.

Everything went well---Dr. Joe just went in and performed a brief bit of magic, getting the magnet back where it belongs. No damage to any part of the implant, so all is well. The bandage has to be kept on for hopefully one more day (we'll see if that happens) to keep internal swelling down and minimize the possibility of fluid building up in that area. He can't wear his processor on that side for a week and no rough-housing for two weeks! Yeah, right! That also means no hockey for two weeks, which he'll be quite sad about. I'm not sure that I will be, though.

Here's hoping this is the last time!

Thanks for all of your updates jay are.
So glad to hear everything went well.

By the way what a handsome young man he is.

It’s obvious we are related.

Oh, he's so cute. I want to just kiss his cute face! We were so glad to hear that everything went well. Hmm, let us know how that "no roughhousing" goes....I've got my serious doubts..

Yay! So glad the mini-surgery has been completed. Thanks for putting a picture up. For some reason I can't get my comments past the blog-comments sargeant so I'll just put anonymous although it is I, Maama, and that precious little person is my sweet grandson :-)

I’m happy to hear that the procedure went well. But… no rough-housing for 2 weeks? Is that possible for a boy?

Any news on the tinitus yet?

it seems to not be bothering him now. Very strange. I would've thought that since he hasn't had his processor on on that side for a week, that it would be very bothersome at this point, but he hasn't complained of it since. Weird stuff!

No doubt the tinitus was caused by all the radio stations around the world that you guys were trying to tune into..*wink* perhaps it was really just the free floating magnet that was disturbing his poor ear...well goodness...perhaps this is the end...at least for this year....one can only hope...
