It takes a spot of courage to stand up tall and a bit of derring-do to rise when you fall

A Martha Stewart Moment

I wish I was one of those people who--when they get stressed--stop eating, work out constantly and clean like crazy. If that were the case, I'd be the fittest person you ever saw and have the cleanest house you'd ever stepped foot in! Heh. Let's just say that children can be stressful. And teenagers? Don't get me started.

But back to Martha Stewart and cleaning like crazy: there are two cleaners you should become intimately familiar with (if you have the misfortune of being maid-free at the moment and do your own cleaning): Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser and Bar Keeper's Friend (having or keeping a bar is not required). If those products don't clean it, it ain't gonna clean.

Just thought I'd pass on that vital information.

Magic Erasers rock. As do Clorox Bleach Pens.

(And, ahem. Your #1 can't possible be that old, can he???)

Wow, you have to do your own cleaning? Sheesh. That IS bad! (; I only found out about the magic eraser this christmas. I'm nominating it for the 8th Wonder of the World.

Throw in a Bissel Little Green and you're SET. I hadn't heard of the barkeep potion, thanks for that!

Don't forget 'Bon Ami' the old fashioned powder that cleans shower glass like a dream. It's a little work because you have to make a paste then polish it but it does away with all mineral spots and water spots.
Is this a housecleaning post or what???!!!

since we're on the cleaning streak...I've been using Method shower cleaner (you know, the shower cleaners that you spray everyday and supposedly never have to clean your shower.) I do still have to wipe it down sometimes, but when we're consistent about using it, it really works well. And it doesn't smell like caustic chemicals eating at your lungs like some of the others do.

And that is all I know about cleaning.

glad you're back! sorry for the stress that you've indicated. also, sorry for being maid-free. :(

cleaning -- my favorite! like magic eraser; will have to try the bar keeper one. also, will have to try the daily shower cleaner recommended above -- don't like the one i've been using (tilex, i think).

hope things will ease up for you soon.
