Is There, Like, A Class I Can Take?

because I keep flunking the word verification test. I can't tell you how many times recently I've typed in the flipping mumbo jumbo only for the big red YOU HAVE FLUNKED message to come on. Well, it doesn't say that, but that's what it means. If they want you to type in some gobbledygook, why do they make it so impossible to detect sometimes? Half the time I'm guessing what letter they want: is that a "v" or a "w"?? A "q" or a "g"?? Seems to me it would work just as well if the letters were a little more clearly stated. Or maybe it's just me. And you can't say, well maybe you need glasses, because I'm already wearing them.
Talk about feeling dumb.
Geez.

when i have trouble with word verification i notice that i'm not wearing my glasses or i can't tell that their "j" is an "i".

but i think they offer the classes in the Cal State system.

but I HAVE my glasses on. Are you telling me, then, that it's ME?? Clearly.
I think I'll look up those classes (if I can decipher the info).

mrbxe (see. that was okay. but it was the fat chunky letters and those are do-able)

If you find that class, please enroll me, too. I also flunk the word verification things, sometimes 3 or 4 times before I get it right.

word verification lameness is one of my “flustratingnesses” * too, especially if there's one that i “liked” & wanted to include in my comment (not that often actually...). if you find a class, sign me up too when you enroll yourself & nick.

*a malaprop that i mentioned in a past post of yours that seemed to fit here somehow...

pxdaeg -- nice clear letters

I think there is a nasty blogging monster in the computer that doesn't want to make it easy for us to post stuff. The monster probably sits there laughing at us, enjoying the frustration of it all !!

Don't worry, you are not the only one.

Get outta my head lady. ;) I swear I was going to write something on these lines the other day!
Why isn't it called "non-word verification" because they aren't even real words?
The other thing, I know how to type, pretty well I might add. But for whatever reason when I am faced with random letters, I have to look at one letter on the screen, look at keyboard, look back at letter and finally poke the right letter on the keyboard in a hunt and peck fashion. Then sometimes those non-words are so squished together I can't tell a d from a c and l side-by-side.I feel like I belong on the short bus. Especially when it tells me I screwed up. I say "What?!" Out loud. All alone. This word verification thingy has me talking to myself and making crazy long comments. :P

Amen. I fail all the time too. They should either keep the effed up font and spell real words, or use Arial 26-point Bold. My word right now is:
