When Your Kiss Is On The Fritz

So I had to shake my head at this bit of weird news:

Park Hyatt hotel maid Louise Kelsey, 58, testified in August in Melbourne, Australia, that she was kissed against her will in 2001 by a hotel guest (an Uruguayan soccer player in town for a World Cup match) and suffered a post-traumatic stress disorder that led to her being declared legally blind in 2002. Though a doctor for the defense derided it as "the most powerful kiss in history," the hotel's insurer agreed to its liability in October and said it would negotiate the money amount. [Daily Telegraph (Sydney), 9-1-05; Herald Sun (Sydney), 10-7-05]

Is she still blind? Is this even possible? And they agreed to pay her for this? How could they prove it?

Who knows what would've happened to her if he'd moved past first base.

that's why i rarely kiss people these days.

the ones i like enough to kiss i don't want to go blind.

but it's a heck of a way to get the ones i don't like to stop calling me. :)

LOL!
Exactly! You can't be too careful these days.
If that doesn't work, you could try a little dxvuypx. That should do it.

yeah, and it's in your neighborhood! Keep us posted! (clearly it's not okay that the guy accosted this woman. No doubt about it. But blind? That seems strange. Sometimes truth, tho, is stranger than fiction. As you would know with things you hear).

That is hilarious! And here we thought only masturbation made you blind!

Thanks for the sweet comment about my son. I agree completely...

bryan, i can't help but wonder what "people" walked in on to make you NOT realise they were talking about kissing.
