A First
Today at the gym, there was a guy next to me on one of the machines in full office gear: blue, long-sleeve button-down shirt, snazzy tie, dress slacks, dress shoes. What in the world? There he was, pumping away, working himself toward a big sweaty mess. Glad I wasn't going to be sitting next to him in some business meeting later. I'll let some other poor sap fill that seat.
I thought I'd seen it all with the woman who came decked out with full evening make-up, a shirt cut down to there, everything gushing out, shorty shorts---sure, it was great for all the guys, lady, but let's not pretend that you came to the gym to exercise! I thought she'd taken the cake, but I think she passed the baton to this guy with his business attire. It's a gym, folks. You're exercising, working out, breaking a sweat. Right?

Sounds like they had other things in mind dressed like that. For me it is a decent pair of shoes, shorts and a bummy t-shirt - something I can sweat in. ec

I wonder what those two smelled like when they went to their next appointments?

even a TIE?!! Maybe he was dressing for success. Yikes. Or he could tell the boss that he'd run to work after his car broke down and come off looking so dedicated...

well, one time i saw a guy on the exercise bike and he was dressed in a space suit.
no i didn't, that's a lie.
but maybe you'll be lucky and someday see someone in a tux -- that's pretty much all that's left after business suit, no?

Maybe the guy in the business attire heard about that lady and didn’t want to take time to change into his workout clothes in fear that he would miss something gushing out.(Just a thought)

Seriously? Were you looking around for the hidden cameras? Maybe he was filming a music video for YouTube??

Maybe he forgot to take his medication that day. Sounds a little manic to me... Not that that's a bad thing, I could do with a little mania now and then. Especially exercise-related mania.

Ditto to Amy...but at the cost of getting suits dry cleaned the guy was definitely nuts..on or off medication!!

Working out in a business suit ... now that's something I've never seen. How bizarre, and how wrong !!!
Take care, Meow

I've been to your gym. What about the lady who sits on all the machines, albeit in bona fide workout clothes, and just reads the newspaper? She moves from machine to machine sometimes, but I think she just reads. Does she ever do an actual set?
